The Generator Python Program

The Generator and TAFE Queensland are collaborating to offer The Generator Python Program.

Are you interested in developing your programing skills in the information communication technology industry? Would you like to get a job in ICT? Stand out from the crowd by learning Python programming language and skills.

In 18 weeks you will learn everything from the basics to Boolean values, conditional execution, loops, lists and bitwise operations. You will also delve further into Python modules, packages, strings and exceptions.

In addition to the micro-credential course, you will also be invited to a weekly study session at The Generator to make progress on your work, discuss issues with your peers, support each other, as well as make important local connections with fellow students.

What is the Generator Python Program?

The Generator Python Program is a combination of online coding course with access to study time at The Generator in Bundaberg or Gympie.

Who is the Generator Python Program for?

Anyone who would like to learn Python coding language and get a job in ICT. It is suitable for beginners or experienced people who would like to develop new skills. According to the Australian Government’s Job Outlook service, the number of people working in ICT is growing very strongly. This growing industry is expected to have around 80,000 job openings over the next five years.

Start ‍Date: 24 January 2022

Duration: 18 weeks. 3 hours per week plus additional self-directed study to complete the course requirements.

Bundaberg Generator access is every Tuesday 5:30pm to 8:30pm from 25 January to 31 May 2022.

Gympie Generator access is every Wednesday 5:30pm to 8:30pm from 2 February to 1 June 2022.

  • Access to the TAFE Queensland Coding in Python micro-credential online course.
  • 18 weeks online course with weekly study sessions for the duration of the program, hosted at The Generator in Bundaberg and Gympie.
  • Use of The Generator coworking and innovation hub facilities during study sessions including power, Wi Fi, desks, whiteboard, kitchen and more.
  • Connecting with local ICT students and professionals.
  • No face-to-face mentoring provided.
